Local Pastures™ was founded in 2008 by Blaise Santianni because he was dissatisfied with the availability, or lack thereof, of locally raised, organic meats at grocery stores in the Delaware Valley (PA, NJ and DE). He only came across the usual suspects, none local and some as far away as Uruguay!

Local Pastures™ brings farmers market quality beef to a store near you. The beef is produced by small farmers who have obtained an affidavit vouching for the claims made on the Local Pastures™ label. Remember, if a farmer doesn’t have an affidavit or PCO certification, no claims such as “No Antibiotics Added” can be made. So when you see the Local Pastures™ label, you know exactly what you are getting.
