Kaminski Farms is a 4th generation family farm located in the heart of Michigan's Harbor Country. Founded in 1964 by Leonard Kaminski, the farm is now operated by his son David Kaminski and many other family members. Kaminski Farms is dedicated to efficient and sustainable use of land, while providing high quality beef locally and beyond.

Raising Practices:

  • Grass-fed, Grain-finished: Growing cattle spend most of their time on pasture with free-choice access to feed tailored to their growth stage. Once they have reached the finishing stage they are moved to a finishing barn, where they are fed a balanced diet of grains and forage to promote faster weight gain and a higher development of marbling, enhancing tenderness and flavor.
  • Animal Welfare First: Animal welfare is top priority at Kaminski Farms. Sick or injured animals receive medical care under veterinary guidance and strict withdrawal timelines. Cattle always have access to shelter with clean, dry bedding. Finishing barns have ventilation and cooling systems to keep cattle comfortable all year long.
  • Upcycling and Waste Reduction: Cattle are the ultimate upcyclers, they can take by-products of other industries and turn it into meat and milk. Kaminski Farms uses the leftovers from the distillation of ethanol as part of a balanced ration. Distillers grains; corn protein and fiber, and distillers solubles; a nutrient and vitamin rich liquid similar to molasses.
